but instead of coming back she sent one of the other ladies who was cleaning to come wait on me. No excuse me, nothing, just turned around and walked off as i was talking to her I thought wow, should I have spoken Spanish, really, i waited as she took her time eating because those strawberries had to be good. Already disappointed by his behavior i went to order from the hot foods only to be met by the young cashier who walked off midway of me talking to her to eat the strawberries that she picked through from the food bar. I buy meat from this store because i dont have to get the meat i want prepackaged. Tuesday they were out of the meats that I like to requests from the meat area but was told by a helpful young gent they'd have it the next day, so I came back the next day on Wednesday only to find that they didnt have it, Ok not a big deal i asked for a different cut of meat only to be met by a butcher who clearly was reluctant to help me and kept telling me to go over to the shelves. I would have easily given it 4 stars for its growth and product improvement plus the food bar had improved as well the few times I saw it or so i thought, Unfortunately my last few visits were disappointing. When I found that i had bought spoiled refrigerated products the supervisor didn't give me a hard time replacing them although the purpose and event in which we purchased them was affected i didnt lose my money. Their products have expanded and are better stocked Their customer service visible. This place has gotten so much better since I went in there years ago. Will I go back, yes but next time I'll be prepared for the bad customer service. I told them both they need to smile more at the customers. Both clearly unhappy they had to spend 30 seconds to correct the mistake. Speaking only in Spanish to the girl, when Told her hey I didn't understand a word you said, she just waved me off, then they redid the transition over. I said get someone else who can do it, so she yelled in Spanish to the lady in customer service and she came over frowning heavily. No she said transaction is finished and besides I can't do it. You asked me if I was military but you didn't ask me if I was over 65. Hey I said, do the transaction over and give me my discount. I'm 68 I told her, she said do you have any ID? So showed her my drivers license. I said why didn't you give me a senior discount? She said oh you have to be 65 or older. When I noticed it I had already handed her my money. When she rang up my 2 items I was buying she asked me if I was military and I said no, but there is a big sign taped to the counter that says they offer 10% discount to military or senior citizens. I give them 2 stars because the customer service is terrible. Wide clean isles, neat and clean as any, well lit. No fresh fish everything is frozen but the best price in the area for things like squid and octopus. But the fresh vegetables area is unpleasant. Nice cafeteria style take away foods with Latino influence. A lot of things you wouldn't find elsewhere in the area
